Terms and Policies
The terms and policies that apply when you use Qoosi.
Privacy Policy
Last updated on October 8, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains what personal data Qoosi collects, how we use and share it, and the rights and choices you have. It applies whenever you use our Services, as described below.
We do not sell your personal data.
Qoosi connects job seekers with employers, recruiters, and agencies. Companies create company pages and teams, post jobs, and publish recruiter profiles. Job seekers search and apply for jobs, or post a profile and resume so that employers can find them.
1.1. Services Covered
This Privacy Policy applies to Qoosi.com, the Qoosi mobile apps, and related services (the “Services”). Registered users are “Members”, and anyone who uses the Services without an account is a “Visitor”.
1.2. Data Controller
Qoosi is the controller of the personal data you give us, that we collect, or that we process in connection with the Services.
When you apply for a job, or an employer, recruiter, or agency views your profile or resume, that employer, recruiter, or agency becomes a separate controller of the personal data it receives, and its own privacy policy applies to how it uses that data.
1.3. Changes to This Policy
Qoosi (“we” or “us”) may update this Privacy Policy. If a change is material, we will tell you through the Services or by other means before it takes effect, so you have time to review it. If you do not agree to a change, you can close your account.
If you keep using the Services after the effective date of a change, the updated policy governs how we collect, use, and share your personal data from that date.
2.1. Registration and Sign-In
Qoosi uses Talkou, our sister service, for sign-in and messaging. When you create an account, Talkou shares with us the data needed to run your Qoosi account, such as your name, email address or mobile number, and account identifier. Your email address, phone number, and password are managed in Talkou under its own privacy policy. This gives Members a smoother experience and helps keep their accounts secure.
2.2. Profile and Account Information
You choose what to include in your profile, resume, recruiter profile, or company page, such as your photo, headline, work history, education, skills, location, salary expectations, and the jobs you are looking for.
We do not ask Members to include sensitive data, such as race, ethnicity, political opinions, religious or philosophical beliefs, trade union membership, physical or mental health, sexual orientation, or criminal record. If you choose to add any of it, others can see it in the same way as the rest of your profile, so please think carefully before you do.
2.3. Posting, Applying, and Messaging
We collect personal data when you provide, post, or upload it to the Services, for example when you post a job, fill out a form, submit a resume, apply for a job, save a search, or send a message.
You do not have to post or upload personal data, but without it you may find it harder to get noticed by employers or to find the candidates you need.
2.4. Data From Others
Others may give us data about you, for example when an admin adds you to a company page or team, when a recruiter invites you to apply for a job, or when a Member reports your content or account.
2.5. Payments
When you buy credits or a plan, we collect your purchase history, wallet balance, the plans you hold, and your renewal settings. Payments made through the App Store or Google Play are processed by Apple or Google, and payments by card are processed by our payment providers. We receive confirmation of the payment, but not your full card number.
2.6. Service Use
We log usage data when you visit or use the Services, including our sites, apps, and platform technology. For example, we log when you view or click on a job, profile, company page, or ad, run a search, install or update one of our mobile apps, or apply for a job. We use sign-in data, cookies, device information, and internet protocol (“IP”) addresses to identify you and log your use.
2.7. Cookies and Similar Technologies
As described in our Cookie Policy, we use cookies and similar technologies to collect data, such as device IDs, that helps us recognize you and your devices and understand how the Services are used.
2.8. Your Device and Location
When you visit or leave the Services, we receive the URL of the site you came from and the one you go to next, and the time of your visit. We also receive information about your network and device, such as your IP address, operating system, web browser, device identifier, language, and push notification token.
We use your general location, such as your city, from your IP address, your device settings, and the location you add to your profile, to show you nearby jobs and relevant ads. We will ask you to opt in before we use GPS or similar features to find your precise location.
2.9. Other
Our Services change over time, and new features may need new information. If we start collecting materially different personal data, or materially change how we collect, use, or share your data, we will tell you and update this Privacy Policy.
How we use your personal data depends on which Services you use, how you use them, and the choices you make in your settings. We use the data we have about you, including through automated systems and the inferences we draw, to provide and personalize the Services, so that they are more relevant and useful to you and others.
3.1. Providing the Services
We use your data to run your account, show your profile and job posts, process your applications, connect you with employers, recruiters, and job seekers, and provide the plans and credits you buy, including automatic renewal and boosts.
3.2. Recommendations and Search
We use your profile, preferences, and activity to recommend jobs, candidates, and companies, and to rank search results. Boosted jobs, profiles, and company pages are ranked higher while their plan is active. We do not use automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects on you; employers make their own hiring decisions.
3.3. Advertising
We show ads in the Services, delivered through the Talkou advertising network. We choose which ads to show using your general location, the keywords of your searches, and the content you view, and we count how often each ad is viewed and clicked. Advertisers receive only reports that do not identify you, and we do not give them your profile or contact details.
3.4. Communications
We contact you by email, through notices on our websites and apps, through messages in your Talkou inbox, and through push notifications. These include messages about your account, applications, jobs, plans, and security, as well as tips on using the Services, product updates, reminders, and promotional messages from us.
You can change your communication and notification preferences at any time, but you cannot opt out of essential service messages from us, such as security, billing, and legal notices.
3.5. Customer Support
We use data, which can include your communications with us, to investigate, respond to, and resolve complaints and problems with the Services, such as bugs.
3.6. Insights That Do Not Identify You
We use your data to produce insights that do not identify you. For example, we may produce statistics about our Members, count how often jobs and profiles are viewed, or show you how many people viewed your boosted content.
3.7. Security and Investigations
We use your data, including your communications, to keep the Services secure and to prevent or investigate possible fraud, fake job posts, spam, other breaches of our User Agreement, and attempts to harm our Members, Visitors, or others.
3.8. Legal Bases
Where the law requires a legal basis for using your personal data, we rely on:
- Contract, to provide the Services you have asked for under our User Agreement;
- Legitimate interests, such as keeping the Services secure, preventing fraud, improving the Services, and showing you relevant content and ads, where these are not outweighed by your rights;
- Consent, where we ask for it, for example for precise location or push notifications. You can withdraw consent at any time;
- Legal obligation, for example to keep payment records or respond to lawful requests.
4.1. Your Profile and Posts
Your profile, recruiter profile, company page, and job posts can be seen by Members and, unless your settings limit it, by Visitors. A Private Space shows a company page or recruiter profile and its jobs on a page of its own, which anyone with its link can open.
4.2. Applications and Recruiters
When you apply for a job, we share your application, your profile, and the resume you attach with the company that posted the job, and with the recruiters and team members who manage it. When you make your profile available to employers, employers and recruiters searching on Qoosi can view it and contact you.
4.3. Companies and Teams
If you are a member of a company page or team, its owner and admins can see your role, the jobs you post for it, and your activity on its behalf.
4.4. Service Providers
We use others to help us provide the Services, such as hosting and storage, sign-in, messaging, and advertising (Talkou), payments and app stores (Apple, Google, and payment processors), push notifications, analytics, and customer support. They may use your data only to provide their service to us, under our instructions and appropriate confidentiality and security obligations.
4.5. Legal Disclosures
We may share your data when we believe in good faith that the law, a court order, or another legal process requires it, or that it is reasonably necessary to investigate or prevent fraud, security problems, or breaches of our User Agreement, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Qoosi, our Members, or others. Where the law allows, we will tell you about such a request.
4.6. Change of Control
If Qoosi is merged, acquired, or sells all or part of its business, your data may be transferred as part of that transaction. This Privacy Policy will continue to apply unless you are told otherwise.
5.1. Your Settings
You can review and edit most of your data at any time in your profile and settings, change who can see your profile, manage your notifications, and turn automatic renewal of your plans on or off.
5.2. Your Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you and receive a copy of it;
- Correct data that is inaccurate or incomplete;
- Delete your data, for example by closing your account;
- Restrict or object to how we use your data, including for direct marketing;
- Receive the data you gave us in a portable format;
- Withdraw any consent you have given, without affecting what we did before you withdrew it.
To use these rights, contact us through Contact support in the Services. We may need to verify your identity before we act, and we will respond within the time the law requires. You also have the right to complain to the data protection authority where you live or work.
We keep your personal data for as long as your account is open, and afterwards only as long as we need it for the purposes in this policy or the law requires.
To delete your account, sign in to Qoosi in the app or at qoosi.com, open Settings, find Account Deletion, select Delete, then type YES to confirm. If you last signed in more than 10 minutes ago, you are asked to sign in again first. You are then signed out on every device, and 30 days after the request your account and its data are permanently deleted from the Qoosi database, including your profile and photo, your job seeker and recruiter profiles, your saved items and history, and your notifications and memberships. You can cancel the deletion by signing in again during those 30 days. Records the law requires us to keep, such as payment and tax records, are kept only for as long as the law requires. You sign in to Qoosi with your Talkou account, which is not deleted with it; you can delete it separately in Talkou.
We may keep some data after your account is deleted where the law requires it or for legitimate reasons, such as payment and tax records, data needed to resolve disputes or enforce our User Agreement, and data that does not identify you. Applications and messages you sent to others may stay with them under their own policies.
7.1. Security
We use technical and organizational measures to protect your data, such as encryption in transit, access controls, and monitoring for misuse. No system is completely secure, so please keep your sign-in details safe and tell us if you notice anything suspicious. If a breach affects your personal data, we will notify you and the authorities where the law requires.
7.2. International Transfers
We, and the service providers we use, may process your data in countries other than the one where you live, which may have different data protection laws. Where we transfer personal data internationally, we use safeguards the law recognizes, such as standard contractual clauses.
The Services are not meant for anyone under the Minimum Age set out in our User Agreement, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them. If we learn that we have, we will delete it and close the account.
If you have questions about this Privacy Policy or about how we handle your data, or want to use your rights, please contact us through Contact support in the Services.
