Areas of responsibility

You will be involved in a wide range of tasks, such as supporting and advising the Managing Director in developing the captive's strategy and risk tolerance, contributing to the captive's submission process and supporting the underwriting process for the various lines of business. You will be involved in the policy renewal process for all lines of business and be responsible for insurance premium tax. You will also work with the Norwegian Natural Hazards Pool as well as some claims action. Furthermore, you will support the captive with tasks within the financial area, as well in fulfilling regulatory requirements, the risk management process, including ensuring development and maintenance of relevant procedures.

The position requires support to and cooperation with the Insurance and Risk Managers / Advisors in Hydro Insurance Department.

Desired Qualifications

To thrive and succeed in the role of Insurance and Risk/Compliance advisor, we believe the right candidate holds the following qualifications:

• University degree (e.g. Finance, Law or other relevant education)
• Proven track record of working with insurance (personal lines, cargo, property, etc.) and/or finance and/or risk management/compliance (regulatory framework/Solvency II)
• Experience within insurance risk management an advantage
• Knowledge of anti-money laundering regulations an advantage
• Professional fluency in English and Norwegian is required
• Ability to drive changes, standardization and improvements
