Manager – Gender and Inclusion
The Opportunity
The overall objective of this position is to ensure that all of Save the Children’s programs in Cox’s Bazar are inclusive and gender sensitive, and gender transformative where feasible. The successful applicant will provide technical guidance to ensure that programs meet the specific needs of women, men, girls, boys and their intersectionality of exclusions. These should be incorporated in different stages of program/project cycle; situation assessment, project development, planning, budgeting, implementation, monitoring, and reporting for quality and impact. The incumbent will identify gaps and take initiatives of capacity building on gender equality and inclusion by facilitating training and workshops for SCI and partner staffs. S/he will work closely with thematic and SGBV specialists and lead the implementation of AHP and other projects’ gender and disability inclusion analysis and integrate findings into program design and Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning (MEAL) framework and tools, and report writing.
Qualifications and experience
- At least 6 years’ experience of addressing gender inequality and inclusion (e.g. disability inclusion) in programming and workplace
- Substantial gender equality and inclusion mainstreaming experience
- Proven record of enabling/facilitating change through inspiring and mobilising others;
- Experience conducting assessments - including gender analysis - and revising monitoring and evaluation tools to capture gender, SGBV, and inclusion considerations for different sectors;
- Ability to provide technical advice and conduct capacity building in both development and humanitarian context
- Fluent in written and spoken in Bangla and English languages
- Proficiency in MS Office, e.g. Power Point, Word and using of internet/email
- Master’s Degree in Social Science, preferably in Women/Gender Studies/Sociology
