Duties:

• Supervise, plan, direct and administer the operations of the Public Works Department 
• Oversee contract administration for all public works services ;
• Supervise and evaluate Public Works personnel ;
• Prepare and present accurate and reliable reports containing findings and recommendations ;
• Attend council meetings, workshops and other meetings ;
• Oversee the financial aspects of the Public Works Department operations ;
• Recommend and administer policies, goals, and procedures ;
• Read plans, and observe and evaluate job sites ;
• Plan, organize, direct and control public works functions.

Required profile for job ad : Public Works Director

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Public Administration or a related field ;
• 7 years of general experience in public works or related area ;
• Strong management and administrative ;
• Excellent communicator ;
• Able to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions.
