Job Summary:

Plans, directs & implements all of the Section activities to ensure that business objectives of new requirements brief & other IT-led projects - where the Core Development Section is involved, are accomplished within KPI, project scope, time & budget. The Core Development Section Head must have strong understanding of SDLC process such as Waterfall, RUP (Rationale Unified Process), or Agile. With proven capacity to handle multiple "enhancement", "modification" & "ground-up" projects simultaneously including team/project budget planning, change management and business/client-need analysis.

Provides guidance to the software development projects

Experience in influence management, consensus building, collaboration, balancing conflicting priorities, and the ability to effectively deal with organizational and/or individual resistance to change

Must be able to comfortably interact with multiple levels in the organization, from top management to Associates

Strong planning & organizational skills combined with exceptional written & verbal communication skills

Job Qualifications:

Has at least 5 years of experience in managerial capacity specifically in handling and managing development.

Has at least 3 years' experience leading a team of software developers and tester. Hast at least 2 years of experience in software development as a developer.

Preferably has working experience in retail & distribution, systems for cargo, courier and /or remittance industry, financial services, supply chain management.   Experience in leading a successful organizational change effort is a plus.

Software Development Life Cycle; Requirements/ Design / Development /Test/ Acceptance.

Business process automation and continuous improvement experience.

Fundamentals of software development in C/C++, ASP. Net, C#, Delphi

Database design, solution and management; MySQL, Microsoft SQL,

Storage; Storage Hardware, Storage Software, e- Discovery

Security Privacy, Security hardware and Software, Application Security, Data Security, Malware and

Vulnerabilities, Cybercrime, and Hacking, Intellectual property Issues, Business Continuity   Project Management; use of Microsoft project is a must

Influencing skills who can communicate effectively both internally with our technology and business teams and externally with the wider business community

People management in an e=commerce and /or internet environment

Calm & professional approach to resolving business issues

Budgeting / Financial Experience

Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills with the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously

Superior verbal and written communication, facilitation and presentation skills   Customer Driven / Centric
