We're looking for a Quality Assurance Engineer to join our great team!

Your Role

You will be a part of the system test team. In this department, the complex applications of air and sea freight logistics are tested functionally and technically based on J2EE technology / Oracle DB and carried out until they are ready for production.

Your Responsibilities

• Test design and test case specification based on complex functional and technical requirements
• Manual test execution, usage of HP Quality Center
• Testing according to waterfall model
• Detailed error analysis on different levels (functional, application server log files, database, message validation (web services, JMS)
• Detailed creation of defects
• Collaboration with business units in all development phases as well as with other product and services departments

Your Skills and Experiences

• Knowledge in software testing standards, methods and convention
• Experience in test case design and test case execution
• Academic degree of computer sciences or equivalent education/knowledge
• Analytical skills which help to identify technical issues in the system under test
• Basic knowledge in software programming, databases and Linux
• Fluency in English, German would be nice to have
• Ability to explain technical issues, good communication skills, have a team player attitude and reliability
