The Role:

• Builds relationships with Product Development Engineers, QE, Customer Support, and Incident Management engineers
• Monitors and increases the reliability of application and its’ eco-system
• Defines and manages best practices on call and escalations
• Creates tools and Dashboards to provide increased visibility and monitoring capabilities of applications
• Identifies, prioritizes, investigates and resolves issues
• Communicates issue impacts and end results to Leadership team
• Works with manager to translate operational pain into system and process requirements
• Partners with business and technical SMEs to understand relevant data, analyze and perform necessary deep dive to solve given business problem, summarize and present key findings
• Researches and recommends application monitoring opportunities and enhancements
• Project planning and documenting actions for monitoring and alerting
• Works closely with the application development organization and other functional IT areas to determine best practices, tuning, and problem resolution and root cause analysis
• Recommends strategies for process and monitoring improvement
• Creates high quality documentation that meets the needs and expectations of the stakeholders

The Profile:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent, and 2-4 years of experience in large enterprise system operations
• Experience in writing SQL queries to pull data from Database
• Experience in monitoring Service on AWS/GCP is required
• Write custom dashboards using Web/Java scripts
• Hands on Experience in developing dashboards using two or more tools like Kibana, Wavefront, Splunk or similar tools
• Strong understanding of multi-tier architecture and infrastructure configurations
• Familiarity with common networking practices
• Experience in Scripting using Python or similar scripting languages
• Experience in reporting with Confluence and/or Jira
