As a Buying/Procurement Specialist, you will be responsible for:

  • Place and follow-up on POs. Manage relationships with suppliers for PO execution. Manage problems and schedule changes. Update ERP.
  • Detects and signals flaws in approaches, methods, procedures and processes and suggests improvements.
  • Handles communication with direct colleagues and the business about data gathering and analysis.
  • Contributes towards taking important decisions with business relevance or supporting business in making decisions understanding broader cross-functional implications.
  • Ability to communicate high-level concepts to senior leadership. Frequent use of coaching and development of subordinates.
  • Deliver specialized professional work delivered by single-layered team or professional work delivered by multi-layered teams.
  • Handles complex professional work in the department. Cases are unique and sometimes without precedent.
  • Employees are expected to develop new approaches. Knowledge management is important.
  • Contributes to project as a team member.
  • Work goals typically take 1-3 month to complete and results are seen immediately or within 1-2 months
  • This role is responsible for expediting direct material in support of the Manufacturing organization
  • Ensuring on time materials supply to support production and sales.
  • Work to resolve Materials issues while achieving and maintaining inventory business metrics.

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with proven years of experience in Sourcing).
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Strong problem solving skills.
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Demonstrated ability to lead programs / projects.
  • Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs.
  • Established project management skills.
