Main responsibilities

The main responsibility for the position is to ensure that project teams achieve first-class HSE performance at all levels and in all phases of a project.

  • Take lead, support, motivate and advice project management on HSE related topics
  • Prepare HSE programs, plans and documentation for the assigned project
  • Support project management to identify and manage HSE risks through all project phases
  • Follow-up contractors HSE standards and HSE performance on site in the execution phase
  • Respond to, report and manage HSE incidents including coordination of incident investigations
  • Participate in internal and external audits
  • Contribute to improvement of the project management methods and tools through digitalization and simplificactions

You have a profound experience with HSE from construction projects and are confident in taking lead in all HSE related activities. You are an experienced manager and set the agenda successfully, you communicate effectively to make an impact, and others perceive you as open, collaborative and trustworthy. You enjoy working in multidiscipline teams, you are curious to understand the bigger picture, and you proactively seek solutions.
We are looking for candidates who are comfortable with business travels and regular travel to project sites when
needed. We strive to have a diverse team and welcome candidate with various backgrounds.


  • University degree within HSE, science or equivalent
  • 5-10 years of relevant experience, from industrial companies and investment projects
  • Knowledge of relevant jurisdictional HSE legislation and regulations
  • Site experience, preferably from construction sites
  • Experience in leading/participating in audits/investigations within HSE
  • Interest and drive for continues improvement of work processes, tools and methods
  • Fluent in written and oral English, and elementary proficiency in Norwegian or other scandinavian language
