Founded in 2002, by President William J. Clinton and Ira Magazines, the Clinton Health Access Initiative, Inc. (“CHAI”) is a global health organization committed to strengthening integrated health systems and expanding access to care and treatment in the developing world. In 2014, CHAI established a partnership with the Ministry of Health (MOH) in Lao PDR to support the health system. In 2021, CHAI’s work focuses on increasing access to medicines through strengthening the country’s public health supply chain, strengthening maternal and child health including vaccination, responding to health emergencies, and supporting the country’s efforts to eliminate malaria in all forms.".
